Have you been on the journey for a long time and are weary from fighting? Psalm 35:3 shows that God gives us the victory if we stay in the fight. God gives us a moment of inception for our mission, sustains us when we need perseverance, and brings the harvest. When we turn weakness into worship, God takes us to victory in the end.

Questions for Meditation

  1. Whether it’s great or small, ordinary or unique, what mission has God called you to? When was the moment of inception for that mission?
  2. Read Galatians 6:9. Have you ever gotten weary and tempted to give up in your mission or in your journey with God?
  3. Read James 1:2-4. Why does perseverance sometimes seem so difficult? What is the benefit of perseverance?
  4. Who sowed the seed of your mission? What happens to the seed after it is sown? Who achieved the victory when it seemed impossible to persevere?
  5. What happens to the harvest when we trade weariness for worship?
