Devotional: Going all in with God
When we go all in with God, we embark on a journey of profound trust and surrender. In Psalm 25, the psalmist beautifully exemplifies this unwavering trust as they declare, “In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” This act of entrusting our lives to the Creator is an active surrender, a conscious decision to relinquish control and anxieties. It’s a recognition that our strength alone is insufficient, and we place our hope in the One who is both our Savior and Guide. In this act of surrender, we discover a profound release from the burdens we were never meant to carry. We are reminded that no one who hopes in the Lord will ever be put to shame, for God is faithful and just. As we actively wait upon Him, we open our hearts to His teachings and His ways, allowing Him to lead us on paths of righteousness. When we fully embrace this all-in trust, we find a refuge in His unwavering love, and our enemies cannot triumph over us. So, let us actively wait upon the Lord, laying down our burdens and anxieties, knowing that our hope is secure in Him all day long.
In our active waiting and surrender to God, we experience a transformation of our burdens into blessings. The burdens of fear, doubt, and self-reliance melt away in the warmth of God’s presence. When we lay down these heavy loads, we make room for His truth and wisdom to guide us. Like a loving parent, God teaches us His ways, leading us along paths that bring purpose and fulfillment to our lives. As we actively wait on Him, we exchange our anxieties for His peace, and our uncertainties for His unwavering guidance. In this beautiful exchange, we discover the true essence of faith – an unwavering trust in God’s goodness and a deep conviction that He is our Savior and hope. So, as we go all in with God, let us actively release our burdens, trusting that He will carry us through every challenge and lead us towards a future filled with His grace and purpose.
