Jericho
Jericho
Joshua 6
Hello Parents and Kiddos!
Please take a few moments to watch the story of Jericho. I’ll be waiting here for you. 🙂
Welcome back! In today’s Bible story, we learned that We have victory with God! Please take a few moments to review the story with your kids…
Activity:
Today we are going to pretend that we are Joshua and the Israelite army. We are going to march around Jericho seven times! You will need something that you can safely stack and knock over. Go ahead and gather your legos, pillows, or even blocks would work great! Now, set up your pretend Jericho walls on the floor in the shape of a square or rectangle.
Once Jericho is ready, march around and worship God; pretend to blow a trumpet. After the seventh time around, knock over the walls! (In the real story, the walls fell down by God’s power.)
Hooray! The walls of Jericho are down!
You can do this over and over again. You can even take turns pretending to be Joshua! If you would like to take it a step further. You can roll up a piece of paper and pretend that it is a trumpet.
Questions:
