Devotional: We Need His Oil
Oil, and the anointing of oil, is a symbol of the Holy Spirit all throughout the Bible. It’s His oil – the Spirit – that brings favor and assignments. As Christians – all Christians, not just a segment of us – we need encounters with the Spirit continually. Those encounters are what keep are walks with God fresh, what makes the Word come alive to us, shows us His favor, and reveals new assignments. But too often, we overlook and under-expect what the Spirit wants to do in our lives. It’s time for us to live for more and anticipate His Spirit’s favor on our lives. Just expect! Expect that God wants to meet you, that God wants to speak to you, and that God wants to give you His Divine affirmation. Just expect!
