Devotional: Revival
Revival can be defined as a spiritual awakening from a state of dormancy in a believer, church, local, or global community in a supernatural way. It sparks a passion for His word, holiness, a convicting awareness of sin, and a desire to live righteously. God pours out His spirit not because we are great people, but because He is a great God. Hebrews 11:16 says “He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” He is looking for willing people with a heart of wanting God to do more. We have heard about many revivals that happened throughout the last few centuries, and can expect He will do it again. Revival starts with us first. We need to seek God, cry out to Him, and have a great expectation He will use us to start a revival in our families, relationships, workplaces, country, and world.
